I truly cannot say enough incredible things about Dr. Nguyen and her entire staff. From start to finish, my experience was nothing short of world-class. I came to Dr. Nguyen with a wound that required emergency surgery, and from the very beginning, her knowledge, expertise, and credentials were simply otherworldly. But what impressed me even more was her bedside manner. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything she was going to do, why she was doing it, and what to expect along the way. Never once did I feel rushed or like just another patient. Her office staff deserves just as much recognition. They genuinely took the time to get to know me and truly cared about my situation. Because Dr. Nguyen was out of my insurance network, they went above and beyond to explore different treatment and payment options to help make everything possible. That level of compassion and dedication is something you simply don’t find every day. After needing a second surgery, Dr. Nguyen understood how important it was for me to get back to work, but she also knew how important it was to stay the course and allow my body to heal properly. What makes her especially remarkable is that she doesn’t view medicine as simply black and white. She combines exceptional medical expertise with a holistic approach, looking at the bigger picture and treating the person, not just the problem. That is something I have tremendous respect for. It’s rare to find a doctor who possesses this level of skill, compassion, patience, and genuine dedication to her patients. It’s even rarer to find an entire office that reflects those same values. Dr. Nguyen and her staff are truly in a league of their own. 10 out of 10. World-class care from world-class people. Simply the best. I will forever be grateful for everything they’ve done for me and cannot recommend Dr. Nguyen highly enough.
I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Nguyen and her entire team. After having a difficult experience with a previous surgery, Dr. Nguyen took on my case when not every surgeon would. She treated me with compassion, care, professionalism, and incredible expertise. She corrected the complications I was dealing with and, in my personal experience, she truly saved my life. I will always be deeply grateful for her dedication and for the way she cared for me throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend her enough.
In 2019 my 1 year old son had his finger severed by a closing door. In the middle of the night Dr. Nguyen answered the call and traveled to perform surgery on my son. I had no clue how she would save his finger, it looked beyond repair, but she managed. Today, my son's finger is perfect and he has complete feeling in it. She didn't have to get out of bed to help, but she said she couldn't imagine a young boy not being able to wear a wedding band one day. Incredible. Thank you Dr. Nguyen.
This review is long overdue, but I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Dr. Nguyen. She cared for my mom for many years, but what she did for her in the last few months of her life was truly extraordinary. Knowing my mom wasn’t able to get into the office, she made house calls and showed a level of compassion that went far beyond medicine. What meant even more to me was how she took care of me during that time. She would sit with me, talk with me, and offer guidance and comfort while I was facing something so difficult. My mom and I have a silly sense of humor, and over time, she even learned to laugh right along with us. The week after my mom passed, she took me out to lunch because she knew how much I was hurting. That meant more than I can ever put into words. She was so much more than a doctor to both my mom and me. After my mom passed, I continued seeing her for my own health, and I have always known she has my best interest at heart in every way. I am so grateful for everything she has taught me and for the care she continues to give. And to her staff, you have the most incredible group of young people who truly care. Meeting Dr.Win by the luck of the draw in the Emergency Room ended up being a blessing for my husband and myself. Her professionalism, patience and skill helped us immensely. When a surgeon couldn’t heal my husband’s wound Dr Win’s persistence and innovative approach was like a miracle. The staff is top notch. They are all hard working, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Nguyen is the most wonderful doctor that I have ever encountered. She is not only knowledgeable in all fields of medicine, she also offers alternative medicine treatments. Dr. N took care of my mother who had a stroke. She was treated her in our home with a type of electric stimulation therapy which helped in her recovery. I also went to Dr N personally for an injured shoulder which improved dramatically with her alternative therapy. We love Dr Nguyen and her staff. I feel like they are all a part of our family. I highly recommend Dr Nguyen.

Dr Nguyen treated me for a severe emergency dog bite last year and after her care I realized she is a cross between Einstein and Mother Theresa. Her attention was beyond any medical attention that I have ever received. She has her own practice so she can offer the care that we all desire; her total attention. She spent time explaining what the procedure would entail and how the healing process would move forward. The outcome was a thoroughly undetectable wound and full recovery. My name is Robert Battelli, I met Dr Nguyen and staff about a year ago with a wound on my big toe that would not heal even though I was under a podiatrist care for over 4 months. There was a very strong possibility I could lose my big toe if she didn’t react quickly. I explained to Dr Nguyen I was a type 2 diabetic, had been for many years and I added that my last A1C reading was 6.8 , this gave Doctor a good insight of the seriousness of my problem Dr Nguyen explained to me I was glucose resistant and immediately changed my diet eliminating sugar and carbohydrates and suggested I get a CGM reader , these two actions changed my life for the better and kept me out of the hospital and helped my recovery along with her laser, and ozone treatments , which were holistic approaches to my problem in lieu of surgical removal of my toe. Dr Nguyen and everyone on her staff showed me love and compassion during the all stages of recovery when my spirits were very low because of my disability made it so I could hardly walk. They all kept my spirits high. I can’t thank them enough for what they did and continually do for me as I still see Doctor Nguyen to help me on my new life journey of having a healthy diet as a type 2 diabetic
The staff is wonderful and the results are impressive. Also, I like that the wait is minimal. Everything seems smooth and well-organized.
Dr. Nguyen is the most knowledgeable and caring physician I have ever met. She is constantly doing research and attending conferences to keep up-to-date and ahead of other physicians in her field. I can’t recommend Dr. Nguyen enough for your medical needs.
Dr. Nguyen is literally a blessing from above!!! I was suffering immensely from an itchy burning skin rash on my face for over a year. I went to multiple dermatologists, allergists, specialists, and spent thousands on doctors/treatments. All the while the condition got worse and worse every day with no answers. I decided to go to Dr. Nguyen to see if she could give me a face cream just to get me by. Little did I know she would be able to fix me from the inside out. After ONE consultation and ONE week of following Dr. Nguyen’s guidance my face had improved significantly. Now weeks later I’m able to live a normal life again, I’ve been able to return to work and I have my confidence back! Dr. Nguyen’s extensive knowledge and commitment to her patients far surpasses that of any other doctor I’ve met. Her staff is WONDERFUL! They are top notch, all so friendly and helpful. I am currently being seen by this amazing team. I injured my hand in a construction mishap and her calm demeanor and extensive knowledge in what had to be done calmed me down from a state of panic. She explained in detail why each move had to be made and why.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nguyen, MD for a little over 2 years now. Upon initial mtg. with Dr. Nguyen, I was very sick with Stage 4 cancer and the prognosis to live a long, healthy life was glim. I was full of despair and thought a cosmetic procedure would change all of that!!! Little did I know back then that Dr. Nguyen would become more than a doctor to me. She gave me hope and more importantly, she opened my eyes to realize recovery was possible. She was more concerned to discuss what was going on in the "inside" rather than what she could change on the "outside". She "met me where I was at". She spent much time paying attention to details as she answered all my questions to inc. nutritional facts as well. Then, cosmetic procedure(s) followed. Money was not her major concern and what I looked like on the outside was/is an added bonus. She has much integrity as a person as well as a a plastic surgeon. Dr. Thuy Nguyen is a thoughtful, conscious and devoted doctor, who cares for all your needs. We have been going to her for years, and she is always concerned of your well-being. Dr. Nguyen takes time to listen to your issues and gives proper medical attention and guidance. Our family goes to Dr. Nguyen for everything. She is a part of our family now. We had a few emergencies in our family and Dr. Nguyen was available and made house calls and was there for us. Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified plastic surgeon who also specializes in hand surgery. Being a part of the medical field, I rarely encounter a physician whose skill set matches their bedside manner. I cannot say enough about Dr Nguyen and her impeccable staff. From the moment I walked in I was welcomed from the staff with a smile and such caring and attentive manner. They go way and beyond with accommodating me with any need I have. The first time I met Dr Nguyen I can tell she was such a caring and compassionate dr who goes beyond her epitome of expertise , and so very personable. She took the time with me to evaluate every need I have from whether it’s physical or emotional pain, the causes and options for treatments. The thoroughness of my examination was exceptional. She looks at the whole person and gives many options to the patient in which to find a solution to that the patient agrees on. It’s a team effort coming to a solution from her, her staff and myself not just Drs orders instructing you what to do. You are not just a number your a valued patient who she truly cares about. The office has such a inviting atmosphere . Very nice inviting waiting room and patient rooms. The cleanliness of the office is exceptional . Also keeps up with the latest medical trends and options. I feel like I found a wonderful dr as well as a friend that truly cares. Easy to get thru a live staff knowledgeable member when calling and quick with a call back to get an appointment for you asap. She is always prompt with keeping up with appointment times and doesn’t leave you waiting hours in the waiting room.I highly recommend Dr Nguyen. She accepts a variety of insurances . I’m a patient of Dr. Nguyen being treated to heal from brain damage as a result of a stroke. She and her staff are most attentive and treatments are tailored specifically for me. There is no other medical office with the kind of comprehensive care that this office provides.

Dr. Nguyen, was called after hours late Friday night 6/30/23 to perform lifesaving surgery on my elderly mother. Dr. Nguyen’s unselfish dedication, commitment and incredible compassion, saved my moms life. Her continued diligence monitoring my mom’s condition, provides great comfort to Bernice and her entire family. First I must say that the doctor Nguyen is very knowledgeable. She pinpoints what needs to be treated and uses many devices in her treatments. I might also ad that I felt relaxed with no pain at all during the treatments. After just a few treatments, the symptoms i had were gone. To me,it felt like a miracle. Also, her staff was very gentle and friendly. Dr Nguyen is a very concerned doctor who really shows care to her patients. All doctors should follow her ways. She treated me just like I was on of her family members.
Dr. Thuy Nguyen is a multi-talented physician. I was referred to her last year for a fractured patella. She utilized a pulse electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) machine and after six treatments in three weeks, my knee healed and I was totally ambulatory. Orthopedic surgeons told me that it was be a three month healing process. My wife is suffering from cognitive impairment. Dr. Nguyen is treating her with transcranial electric stimulation (TCES). While it is not a cure, we have dramatically turned the clock back and recaptured cognition that was lost. We continue treatment currently. I cannot provide enough accolades for this woman. She makes home visits when needed, and always returns phone calls promptly. It is our pleasure to give Dr. Nguyen five stars. If I could, I would give her 10 stars!

I cannot recommend Dr. Nguyen enough. She was crucial in allowing my mother to safely age at home. She treated her holistically and helped her cognition improve despite her dementia diagnosis. She also was essential in helping my husband when he urgently needed her following his COVID diagnosis. I personally have also received her care and she is always professional and honest.

Thuy T. Nguyen, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board-certified plastic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has practiced since 1993 and leads Nguyen Plastic Surgery, P.C., a single-surgeon practice in the Stony Brook Medical Park on Long Island's North Shore.
Her practice covers aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, body and skin; wound care and reconstruction, including complex wounds, repair after Mohs skin-cancer surgery and scar treatment; and hand surgery for tendon, nerve and nerve-compression problems, fractures and injuries. She treats children as well as adults.

Is Dr. Nguyen board certified?
Yes. Dr. Nguyen is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.).

Does Dr. Nguyen treat children?
Yes. Dr. Nguyen treats children as well as adults. She often repairs children's facial cuts (lacerations), many of them in emergencies, and she has particular experience caring for children's hands. For heavy bleeding or a severe injury, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Otherwise, call (631) 689-6500 to ask about your child's condition.

How do I book a consultation?
Call (631) 689-6500, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You don't need a referral to make an appointment, although some insurance plans set their own referral rules.

How soon can I get an appointment?
Usually within one to two business days of your call to (631) 689-6500. For heavy bleeding or a severe injury, don't wait for an appointment: call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

What should I expect at my first visit?
Dr. Nguyen sees you herself. She'll ask about your concerns and history, examine you, and explain your options, including whether surgery is the right choice. If a procedure might be covered, the office checks your insurance before anything is scheduled.

Will my insurance cover my procedure?
It depends on your plan and on what Dr. Nguyen finds when she examines you. Many of the procedures she performs treat an injury or a medical problem, and the practice regularly handles them through insurance, including:
- Hand surgery, including nerve, tendon and muscle repair
- Cyst removal
- Skin grafts
- Breast reduction and panniculectomy (removal of an overhanging apron of skin), when they meet your plan's medical requirements
These are only examples. Some procedures can be either cosmetic or reconstructive, and the consultation decides which applies.
